I've created life!

My platys are having babies, which is a spectacular occurrence given they're all supposed to be male. Actually, that just makes me extra proud of them. I've seen two babies swimming around the tank - they're so tiny, at first I thought they were flakes of food. They're so cute! I'm kind of worried though, as it's recommended you separate the adults from the babies after birth. Short of buying another aquarium, I have no method of doing this, and I'm scared the babies will get eaten or something...

... Updates and pictures to follow, as I inflict this miracle of nature upon all of you.

Platys don't really eat their young from my past experiences and neither do guppies. You do have to watch other fish in the tanks though especially Angel Fish. I discovered that fish that were disc shaped like Angel Fish eat other fish a lot.

I don't have any angel fish, but I do have a bitch of a molly who bullies everyone else. I'm hoping Chad and Tad will stay out his way until they're big enough to defend themselves. Yeah, I named them Chad and Tad. It just seems right.

One of them seems to have disappeared over night :( I'm hoping he's just hiding with the catfish somewhere.
